The Impressions In Jazz Orchestra
The Shine Foundation
Rudeboy
2007 was a good year and one of the best things about it was being asked to get involved in The I.J.O. This is an ambitious and rewarding project that allows me to play many styles of jazz with some of the best musicians around in a variety of bands/orchestras while reading charts hand penned by Duke Ellington, Gil Evans and many other greats. Please visit www.impressionsinjazz.ca for tons of info, pictures, past events and whatever fantastic concept Adrian is cooking up in 2010...

An educational non-profit organization that I've had the opportunity to work with in a number of capacities, The Shine Foundation administers The Shine Music Academy and sponsors events, workshops, clinics and concert series in the Ottawa area. It is through Kelly Craig's hard work that I've had the opportunity to meet and work with many fine musicians, most notably one of Canada's top jazz pianists, Brian Browne.
I joined Rudeboy in '97 after I heard some of Scotty's songs and realized this was a great original band in my town that I could write and produce with. Also, it was a chance to be the only horn player in a cool pop band and the trombone is a well accepted instrument in Ska, who could resist? The band did well and our first album, "Shut Up And Dance" is a gem that topped the college radio circuit. We recently heard it's available online out of Russia but please buy it from us! Check out the site at:
Emergency Update '09: Rudeboy is back & bigger than ever with a new album, national tour dates, TV appearances and a new website!!! Too rude, baby, too rude!
